Walnut Creek Clay Arts Guild

We are considered one of the oldest and best-equipped ceramic studios in the Bay Area

The main goal of this studio is to offer an educational setting where participants can learn and share basic skills in ceramics.

Beginning, intermediate and advanced students all participate in this studio where the emphasis is on developing skills and not production ceramics.

Studio equipment includes: electric wheels, kick wheels, cone 10 reduction kilns, electric kilns for low fire, raku kiln, salt kiln, slab roller, extruder, fully equipped damp and glaze rooms and large work areas.

Walnut Creek Clay Arts Guild is open to all students enrolled in classes, allowing its members to work in the studio during Open Studio time.

Funding Arts Education for All Ages

Walnut Creek Civic Arts Education (CAE) is the premier arts education center in the Bay Area. For over 45 years, tens of thousands of Contra Costa and Bay Area residents of all ages have enjoyed a diversity of quality arts classes and programs. In schools, for example, ArtReach makes learning fun and through grants and donations, brings arts and cultural programs to underserved communities in Contra Costa County.

The Friends of Civic Arts Education Foundation is dedicated to supporting students in the myriad art programs offered by the City of Walnut Creek's Civic Arts Education Program. The Foundation provides much-needed scholarships and program support to allow all children and adults to participate in Arts Education programs at the Shadelands and Civic Park campuses and in public schools.
